Spring Break Stripes

Yes, I realize it’s not Spring Break anymore. But since that’s when I started this thing, that’s what it’s called. This pattern was…. interesting. I wasn’t sure how I would like it after I got about 8 stripes in, but so far I’m really liking it. It was, however, boring. Like, so-boring-that-I-only-did-11-stripes-and-left-off-the-border-because-I-was-so-over-knitting-it boring. I didn’t even block it.

But I do really enjoy it. I have a few complaints about the yarn, though. While I love the drape and feel of it, it easily gets stuck on things and pulls, which is annoying. The yarn is made up of one strand of silk and one strand of linen, and the linen is the one that keeps getting snagged on things.
I am, however, happy to be finished with it. It’s been far too long since I’ve had a finished project to wear. Good to see you again, production.

Also, notice the color I’m wearing? Ridiculous.

  1. No, but I'm chugging along on that. I had to order more needles because I SAT on mine and they broke! Haha! I should be done soon, though.
