between green and grey

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice about which pattern to start next, I’ve started the Fiddlehead Mittens! I’m absolutely loving the pattern so far. I cast on yesterday and have finished the outer shell of the first mitten. They’re about to get a major soak and block, because they’ll be a little snug once the lining goes in. It’s not surprising, considering that I didn’t check my gauge at all, and am using yarn that’s a little smaller than the pattern calls for (Knit Picks Palette). My hands are pretty small so I’m not too worried.

This is my first real colorwork project, and it’s really fun! And, of course, who doesn’t love the way the colors look on the inside?
